Reconstruction of an existing building 4,500 m² · 5 levels.
CONTEXT
The original volume was a typical large-block building from the post-war period of the 1950s-60s.
TRANSFORMATION STRATEGY
The client’s objective was to create a recognisable building within the urban fabric, a private clinic with an institutional character and strong visual and spatial identity.
SPATIAL APPROACH
The compositional language draws inspiration from late Russian Art Nouveau aesthetics, with measured references to the 1890-1910 period. It is not a historicist reproduction but the construction of an image coherent with the city’s cultural context.
The facade composition is based on a clear axial structure and a rhythmic sequence of vertical elements defining the hierarchy of the main entrance and extended urban front.
The intervention included functional reorganisation of internal spaces, complete facade redesign, and reconstruction of the attic level.
The upper floor was conceived as an additional functional block with the integration of a longitudinal glazed skylight along the building’s main axis, intended to ensure natural lighting for the central space.
PROGRAM
The internal organisation integrates outpatient clinics, diagnostics, day hospital, and maternity ward. Patient, staff, and service flows are separated both horizontally and vertically, transforming a standard building volume into a coordinated and efficient healthcare system.
